Adin Hill has been chosen as the starting goalie for the Vegas Golden Knights in the upcoming Wednesday game against the Dallas Stars, scheduled for Game 5.
Initially, Logan Thompson was in goal for the first four matchups, achieving a goal-against average (GAA) of 2.35 and a save percentage of .921, but he conceded three goals in the two games that Vegas lost, specifically Games 4 and 5.
Currently, the playoff series is evenly split, with both teams having secured two wins apiece. Interestingly, all victories thus far have been claimed by the visiting team.
Bruce Cassidy, the coach of the Golden Knights, commended Thompson's contributions but pointed to Hill's prior experience as the key reason for the goalie change for the next game.
At 27 years old, Hill stepped in for the injured Laurent Brossoit during the 2022 playoffs, playing a pivotal role in guiding the Golden Knights to their inaugural Stanley Cup victory in the team's history.
