Nashville Predators News & Updates

Andrew Copp netted two goals, while Alex Lyon made 37 saves, leading the Detroit Red Wings to a 5-2 victory over the Nashville Predators on Saturday. This result left the Predators still seeking their first win.

Detroit's roster saw Vladimir Tarasenko, Dylan Larkin, and Simon Edvinsson each add to the scoreline. For Nashville, goals came from Steven Stamkos and Luke Schenn, while Juuse Saros managed to save 19 shots.

With this loss, the Predators' record dropped to 0-5-0, making them the sole NHL team yet to earn a point. Stamkos notched his inaugural goal for the Predators just 32 seconds into the final period.

Larkin has consistently achieved a point-per-game across the last three seasons for the Red Wings. The Predators are experiencing their toughest start since the 2002-03 season.

Shortly after Stamkos equalized the game at 2-2, Joe Veleno assisted Copp in scoring the decisive goal.

Nashville has suffered defeats in all but one of their matches this season while playing at home, marking seven straight home losses.

Next for the Red Wings is a visit to the New York Islanders on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Predators will wrap up a four-game stint at home with a match against the Boston Bruins.
