Anze Kopitar played a key role by scoring once and providing two assists, marking his 800th career assist, as the Los Angeles Kings secured a 6-3 win against the Vegas Golden Knights.
The Kings saw additional goals from Adrian Kempe, Kevin Fiala, Warren Foegele, Alex Laferriere, and Joel Edmundson. They have now won three of their last four matches. Brandt Clarke and Mikey Anderson contributed with three assists each, and Darcy Kuemper stopped 23 shots.
With his assist on Fiala's power-play goal in the third period, Kopitar became the fifth player born outside North America to achieve 800 assists, joining the ranks of Jaromir Jagr, Evgeni Malkin, Nicklas Lidstrom, and Henrik Sedin. He also became part of an exclusive group of active players, alongside Sidney Crosby, Patrick Kane, and Malkin, to achieve this milestone.
Pavel Dorofeyev and Tanner Pearson found the back of the net for Vegas, while Ilya Samsonov made 20 saves.
