Avalanche Remove Lehkonen from Injured Reserve, Reassign Ivan to Eagles

Artturi Lehkonen returned to the Colorado Avalanche's active lineup on Sunday following his recovery from shoulder surgery.

After being sidelined since the summer, the 29-year-old forward brings a proven performance history. In the previous season, he contributed 34 points during the regular season and added 11 more in the playoffs, playing a key role in the Avalanche's Stanley Cup victory.

With a total of 521 NHL games under his belt, Lehkonen has accumulated 243 points. Originally drafted by Montreal in 2013, the Finnish player initially played for the Canadiens before moving to Colorado.

In a separate transaction, the team reassigned Ivan Ivan, a rookie forward, to the Colorado Eagles, their AHL affiliate. The 22-year-old had recorded four points over 12 games with the Avalanche this season.
