Avalanche Secure One-Year Contracts for Jonathan Drouin and Joel Kiviranta

Jonathan Drouin has rejoined the Colorado Avalanche, signing a one-year contract worth $2.5 million.
Last season, Drouin excelled with the Avalanche, netting 19 goals and accumulating 56 points over 79 games. His impressive performance sparked speculation about his future in Denver.
Although the Avalanche faced other financial priorities, Drouin chose to stay with them for a lower salary than he might have received elsewhere. In addition, the Avalanche renewed forward Joel Kiviranta's contract for one year at $775,000.
