San Jose Sharks News & Updates

In San Jose, Ross Colton of the Colorado Avalanche scored twice, with Justus Annunen making 25 saves in his debut as a starter. This performance led to the Avalanche's 4-1 victory over the still-winless San Jose Sharks.

Cale Makar contributed with an empty-net goal and assists, while Joel Kiviranta also scored, helping secure the win for Colorado. William Eklund was the lone goal scorer for San Jose.

Colton, who has five goals in the last three games, helped establish a 2-0 lead in the first period. Makar's assistance in the third facilitated Eklund's goal, which briefly closed the gap. However, Kiviranta scored again, further extending the lead, and Makar eventually sealed the match.

Vitek Vanecek made 18 saves for the San Jose team. Colorado, meanwhile, brought three goalies along for their road trip due to recent performance issues with Alexandar Georgiev.

San Jose, along with Nashville, remains one of the teams without a win this season. Kiviranta's goal in the third period diminished San Jose's momentum, despite their efforts on offense.

Looking ahead, Colorado will face Seattle on Tuesday, while San Jose is set to compete against Anaheim on the same evening.
