The Chicago Blackhawks, assisted by Petr Mrazek and Teuvo Teravainen, secured a victory over the Florida Panthers with a score of 3-1 on Thursday night.
Mrazek managed to make 32 saves during the game for the Blackhawks, while Teravainen initiated the scoring with a power play goal. Additional goals for Chicago came from Craig Smith and Nick Foligno, breaking their three-game losing streak and bringing their home record to 3-5-0.
The sole goal for the Panthers was scored by Sam Reinhart. Florida's goalkeeper, Spencer Knight, recorded 17 saves in the match.
The Blackhawks demonstrated an increase in intensity compared to their previous game against the Ducks, particularly as the game neared its conclusion. They successfully prevented the Panthers from equalizing by managing a crucial penalty kill in the third period.
Foligno has consistently performed well against the Panthers throughout his career, accumulating 10 goals and 14 assists when facing them.
Looking ahead, the Panthers will start a three-game series at home beginning on Saturday night against Colorado, whereas the Blackhawks are set to play in Philadelphia.
