St. Louis Blues News & Updates

Jordan Kyrou, Brayden Schenn, and Nathan Walker were pivotal in the St. Louis Blues' 4-1 triumph against the Seattle Kraken on a recent Sunday. Kyrou's goal in the third period pushed the Blues into a 2-1 lead, shortly before Schenn widened the gap with another goal. Walker's goal without a goalie cemented St. Louis's victory.

Kasperi Kapanen contributed to the Blues' score as well. The team's interim coach, Drew Bannister, highlighted the significance of winning for the supporters.

The Kraken's sole goal came from Jared McCann, but Joel Hofer's 19 saves propelled the Blues to a 43-33-5 record. St. Louis has now won 7 out of 9 games against Seattle since the latter entered the league.

Following this loss and with only two matches left, Seattle's record stands at 33-34-13. Coach Dave Hakstol praised the team's initial performance but lamented the early third-period goals they conceded.

Kyrou has been on a hot streak, amassing 10 goals and seven assists over 12 games, and Schenn celebrated his 20th goal of the season. Kapanen's goal was a testament to his aggressive play, marking a moment of assertiveness.

The Blues boasted a perfect record in Sunday games this season, going 7-0-0, while McCann shared his hopes for a playoff berth in spite of scoring 30 goals.

Looking ahead, the Kraken are set to play against Winnipeg on Tuesday, whereas the Blues will head to Dallas on Wednesday.
