Edmonton Oilers News & Updates

In the closing moments of Game 4, with just 38.1 seconds left on the clock, Evan Bouchard of the Edmonton Oilers scored a decisive goal, clinching a 3-2 victory against the Vancouver Canucks. This crucial win evened out their second-round playoff series at two games apiece.

Earlier in the game, contributions from Leon Draisaitl and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins gave the Oilers an early lead, with goals in the first and second periods. However, the Canucks fought back hard in the third period, with Conor Garland and Dakota Joshua scoring to bring the game level, only for Bouchard to deliver the winning goal late in the game.

Goalie Calvin Pickard stepped in for Stuart Skinner for the Oilers and successfully blocked 19 shots, whereas Arturs Silovs of the Canucks saved 27 shots. Meanwhile, Connor McDavid assisted a goal, continuing Leon Draisaitl's impressive playoff streak to nine games, a period during which he has accrued 20 points.

Noah Juulsen replaced Carson Soucy, who missed the game on a suspension, in the Canucks' lineup. The upcoming Game 5 promises to bring more excitement, with the teams heading back to Vancouver to continue their series on Thursday night.
