Boston Bruins News & Updates

Brad Marchand, the captain of the Boston Bruins, was on the ice Monday and is set to accompany his team to Florida even though he is currently day-to-day following a head injury during the third game. Marchand did not play in the final period of Game 3 and was absent for the entirety of Game 4 due to an incident where he was hit by Sam Bennett of the Panthers.

Don Sweeney, the Bruins' general manager, mentioned that Marchand's condition is improving. However, Jim Montgomery, the head coach, did not confirm if the injury was a concussion.

As Game 5 approaches on Tuesday night, the Bruins are facing a 3-1 deficit in the series. Marchand has contributed two assists in the series so far, leading his team with a total of 10 points in 10 playoff games.

The hit from Bennett did not result in a penalty at the time and the NHL's Department of Player Safety has since absolved Bennett of any wrongdoing.
