Brayden Point of Lightning Sidelined with Lower-Body Injury for Game Against Blues

Brayden Point, a key player for the Tampa Bay Lightning, will not be playing in Tuesday's game against the St. Louis Blues due to a lower-body injury.

This injury occurred during the first period of Sunday’s defeat to the Winnipeg Jets.

Anthony Cirelli is anticipated to step in for Point on the top line, joining Nikita Kucherov and Brandon Hagel.

So far this season, Point has accumulated 13 points in 12 games and is leading the team with five power-play goals.

Throughout his career, Point has amassed 566 points over 592 games since being selected by Tampa Bay in 2014.

The Lightning have also brought forward Gage Goncalves up from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

In four games with the Crunch this season, Goncalves has contributed four assists.
