Minnesota Wild News & Updates

The Minnesota Wild have reached an agreement with second-year defenseman Brock Faber on an eight-year contract valued at $68 million. This deal, with an annual average value of $8.5 million, is set to commence in the 2025-26 season.

During his first season, Faber tallied 47 points across 82 games. He led all rookies in ice time and blocked shots, and was among the top rookies in assists, points, and power-play assists.

Faber was initially selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2020 draft. In 2022, he was traded to Minnesota in a deal that involved Kevin Fiala. He debuted in the NHL in April 2023 and participated in all six games of the Wild's playoff journey.
