Florida Panthers News & Updates

Jeremy Swayman delivered on his commitment by blocking 28 shots for the Bruins. Charlie McAvoy netted a leading goal that was contested due to an interference call, which resulted in Florida's objection. Additionally, Morgan Geekie contributed to Boston's tally, helping to stifle Florida's attacking efforts.

On the opposing side, Sam Reinhart managed to put one in the net for Florida, and Sergei Bobrovsky made 26 saves. Following this game, where Florida took 29 shots, their lead in the series was cut down to 3-2, thanks in large part to Swayman's consistent performance.

The sixth game is scheduled to be held in Boston come Friday, with a potential seventh game to occur in Florida on Sunday should it prove necessary. Swayman has voiced his strong resolve to secure the win for Boston in the upcoming games.

In the absence of their captain, Brad Marchand, who is out with an upper-body injury, the Bruins found inspiration from their coach, Paul Maurice. Maurice's encouragement came after the team fell behind by a goal, a gap that Reinhart quickly closed by scoring shortly thereafter.

The goal by McAvoy sparked another debate, reminiscent of a prior game, with Florida alleging interference. Nonetheless, the NHL determined that the interaction between Heinen and Bobrovsky was too minor to overturn the goal.
