On Tuesday night, the Boston Red Sox defeated the New York Yankees 6-5 in a thrilling American League East game at Fenway Park.
The Yankees initially took the lead with Aaron Judge hitting a three-run home run in the first inning, setting the score at 3-0. However, the Red Sox countered in the second inning, scoring four runs, including a crucial two-run double by Xander Bogaerts.
Giancarlo Stanton helped the Yankees even the score in the sixth inning with a solo home run. Despite this, the Red Sox clinched the victory in the bottom of the ninth with a walk-off single from Rafael Devers.
Tanner Houck secured the win for the Red Sox, while Aroldis Chapman suffered the loss for the Yankees. Xander Bogaerts stood out for the Red Sox with three hits and two RBIs. Both Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton contributed home runs for the Yankees.
