The Giants' offensive struggles persisted as they managed to put up only 10 points and did not score a touchdown for the third game in a row.
The defense conceded 24 unanswered points during the second half, resulting in a 24-10 defeat to the Commanders.
Although they had a strong start, the Giants' offense stumbled and missed chances to build on their early success. Quarterback Daniel Jones was sacked four times and threw for only 199 yards.
In the second half, the Commanders seized control, with quarterback Taylor Heinicke orchestrating touchdown drives on back-to-back possessions. The Giants' defense struggled to apply pressure or force turnovers, allowing the Commanders to steadily advance down the field.
As a result of this loss, the Giants' record dropped to 2-3, while the Commanders' record improved to 3-2.
