Buffalo Sabres News & Updates

During Monday's match, Buffalo Sabres defenseman Mattias Samuelsson sustained an injury that will sideline him indefinitely. According to Coach Lindy Ruff, the injury is serious, yet no surgery will be required.

Samuelsson had just made his comeback to the team after missing three games. Meanwhile, leading scorer Tage Thompson and goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen are currently considered day-to-day because of lower-body injuries.

Luukkonen continued to play despite his condition in their recent game against Montreal, but he was removed after conceding four goals. Thompson left the game and did not return following his injury.
