In the ice hockey world championship held in Prague, Connor Bedard led Canada to a 5-1 win against Denmark with a stellar performance that included two goals and an assist, marking Canada's second win in a row in the competition.

The team also saw goals from Dylan Cozens, Dawson Mercer, and Pierre-Luc Dubois, while goaltender Jordan Binnington contributed with 19 saves. Additionally, John Tavares made his first appearance for the team following the end of Toronto's playoff run.

Bedard, continuing his scoring spree after netting two goals against Great Britain in Canada's first match, initiated the scoring with an early shot amidst heavy defense. Cozens then extended the lead with a wrist shot during a power play, before Bedard's second goal came from a one-timer at close range.

Despite Christian Wejse making an effort to close the gap by scoring for Denmark, Mercer and Dubois's subsequent goals solidified Canada's victory. With this win, Canada joins the ranks of Finland, Slovakia, and Latvia, all having secured victories in the tournament.
