Pius Suter found the net twice as the Vancouver Canucks rallied from a 2-0 deficit to secure a 5-2 victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday night.
Goals for the Canucks also came from Brock Boeser, Kiefer Sherwood, and Jake DeBrusk, with Quinn Hughes contributing two assists, and Kevin Lankinen stopping 30 shots.
Columbus saw goals from Mathieu Olivier and Damon Severson in the first period, marking their third straight loss. Elvis Merzlikins recorded 12 saves.
Vancouver equalized in the second period, with Sherwood's goal happening with just over a minute left due to a poorly timed play by Merzlikins.
Suter gave the Canucks the lead early in the third period, followed by DeBrusk's power play goal extending the margin. Suter secured the win with an empty-net goal.
Jake DeBrusk scored on home ice with the Canucks for the first time, achieving goals in four consecutive games and leading the team with 12 goals.
The Blue Jackets were unable to capitalize on any of their five power play chances.
Vancouver has improved to 9-5-1 in games where they concede the first goal.
The Blue Jackets are set to play in Winnipeg on Sunday, while the Canucks will face Tampa Bay at home.
