Eric Tulsky has been named the General Manager of the Carolina Hurricanes, following his role as the interim GM.
Tulsky brings a varied background, including a Ph.D. in chemistry, postdoctoral research, and experience in the tech industry. Since joining the Hurricanes in 2014 as a consultant, he has held multiple positions within the organization, such as analyst, analytics manager, and assistant GM.
In his new role as GM, Tulsky will be responsible for reshaping the Hurricanes' roster. Despite making six consecutive postseason appearances, the team still aims to advance to the Stanley Cup Final.
The Hurricanes face critical free agent choices, with the potential exits of Jake Guentzel, Brady Skjei, and Brett Pesce as unrestricted free agents. Additionally, Seth Jarvis and Martin Necas are approaching restricted free agency status.
Although the Hurricanes have reached the Eastern Conference finals twice recently, they remain dedicated to winning the Stanley Cup. They believe Tulsky's leadership could be the key to achieving this goal.
