Frederik Andersen, the goaltender for the Carolina Hurricanes, will be sidelined on a week-to-week basis because of a lower-body injury. This development was shared by coach Rod Brind'Amour following the team's win against the Seattle Kraken.
Although facing this challenge, Andersen has shown strong performance this season, recording a 1.48 goals-against average and a .941 save percentage in four starts. Coach Brind'Amour is hopeful of receiving frequent updates regarding Andersen's health status.
While Andersen recuperates, Spencer Martin has been brought up to assist Pyotr Kochetkov, who is anticipated to handle most of the duties. Brind'Amour believes Kochetkov is enthusiastic to demonstrate his capabilities.
Having played in 499 career games, Andersen has established a notable track record with several teams. He has earned the William M. Jennings Trophy on two occasions.
