Seattle Kraken News & Updates

During the second period, Joel Kiviranta and Nathan MacKinnon each scored, enabling Colorado to take the lead and ultimately win against the Seattle Kraken with a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

In the first period, Kiviranta opened the scoring for Colorado. Justus Annunen contributed significantly to their success by making 25 saves. In the second period, Jared McCann netted his 100th goal for the Kraken.

Kiviranta regained the lead for Colorado three minutes after McCann's goal, with MacKinnon further extending the lead to 3-1 just before the period ended. Ryker Evans managed to score for Seattle with only 4 seconds remaining.

Kiviranta achieved his second multi-goal game in his career, marking an important milestone. Meanwhile, McCann stood out as the first player to reach 100 goals for the Kraken.

Despite McCann’s landmark goal, Seattle could not match Colorado’s momentum, especially after Kiviranta scored again three minutes later. MacKinnon’s goal at the end of the period solidified Colorado’s dominance.

Colorado played a disciplined game with only one penalty, and Annunen recorded 25 saves. Looking ahead, the Avalanche are set to play against Utah on Thursday, while the Kraken will host Winnipeg.
