Connor McDavid, the star player of the Edmonton Oilers, will be in action on Wednesday against the Vegas Golden Knights. He had been sidelined for three games due to an ankle injury.
Initially, it was anticipated that McDavid would be out for two to three weeks. However, he resumed practice on Wednesday, showing confidence in his ability to play.
Even with his injury, McDavid has managed to record seven assists and score three goals in ten games this season, tying him for the team's highest number of assists.
In the previous season, McDavid played a crucial role in leading the Oilers to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final and earned the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player of the playoffs.
Throughout his career, McDavid has accumulated a total of 992 points, consisting of 338 goals and 654 assists. He has also claimed the Art Ross Trophy five times for being the league's top scorer.
