Arizona Coyotes News & Updates

Logan Cooley achieved his first career hat trick, with Clayton Keller adding a goal and three assists, leading the Arizona Coyotes to disrupt the Nashville Predators' 18-game streak of earning points by winning 8-4. The victory was highlighted by Cooley's empty-net goal, alongside goals from Jack McBain, Nick Bjugstad, Nick Schmaltz, and Matias Maccelli, as the Coyotes rallied from a two-goal deficit. Additionally, Josh Doan provided two assists, building on his impressive debut where he scored two goals.

Jason Zucker, a former Coyote, initially put Nashville ahead with two goals, but McBain and Cooley evened the score within the first period. Keller, through a power-play goal, extended his scoring streak to seven games. Meanwhile, Schmaltz and Maccelli also capitalized on an empty net.

After conceding six goals, Nashville's Juuse Saros was substituted for Kevin Lankinen following the second period. Predators coach Andrew Brunette attributed the defeat to individual errors, acknowledging the Coyotes' quickness and skill level.

With Zucker reaching 13 goals for the season, including his time with both the Coyotes and Nashville, the Predators saw Filip Forsberg add to their tally. Despite their strong performance leading up to this game, with a record of 16-0-2 since their last loss, the Predators faced a setback against the Coyotes.
