Jason Robertson, the Dallas Stars' leading scorer, will miss most of the training camp due to a foot cyst surgery. General manager Jim Nill mentioned that the surgery took place on July 30th. Although Robertson will attend the camp, he will start by skating independently.
As the top scorer for the Stars over the last two seasons, Robertson will have limited activity to ensure his foot heals properly. While there is a possibility for him to join some camp activities later, the main focus is on his recovery.
The Stars, having reached the Western Conference finals in the previous two seasons, begin their training camp on Thursday. Robertson, who has a track record of 314 points in 292 regular-season games, missed most of the camp two years ago due to a contract dispute. Nill noted that missing camp previously did not impact Robertson's performance.
