Dallas Stars News & Updates

In a Saturday night showdown, Mason Marchment netted his initial goal since the first game of the playoffs, leading the Dallas Stars to a 3-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers. This win evened the scores in the Western Conference Final at 1-1.

The game-changing moment came in the third period when Marchment redirected the puck into the net. The puck managed to make its way between the legs of defenseman Vincent Deshamais and beyond goaltender Stuart Skinner's reach. Jamie Benn contributed with a goal and helped set up an empty-net goal by Esa Lindell towards the end of the match. In addition, Wyatt Johnston provided two assists, bolstering the Stars’ performance.

Stars' goaltender Jake Oettinger had an impressive night, saving 28 shots, including crucial ones in the dying minutes of the game. Connor Brown was the sole scorer for Edmonton, while Skinner made 22 saves.

The third game of the series is scheduled for Monday night in Edmonton, a venue where the Stars have already secured a win earlier this season.
