Wyatt Johnston and Jason Robertson were pivotal in the Dallas Stars' 6-3 win over the San Jose Sharks, marking their fifth consecutive victory. Both Johnston and Benn netted two goals apiece, with Benn also providing two assists.

This triumph positioned Dallas at the top of the Central Division, ahead of the Colorado Avalanche. Benn commended the team’s collective concentration and underscored the significance of maintaining momentum as the playoffs approach.

The Sharks are in the midst of a challenging period, having faced defeats in eight successive matches and losing 17 out of their last 18 encounters. The game's highlight came in the second period, which saw six goals scored, including two from Johnston with one set up by Benn.

Pete DeBoer, despite the Sharks' struggles, praised his team's effort but also acknowledged the Stars' resilience. Benn continued his scoring streak, hitting the back of the net in five consecutive games, and Johnston lauded the older players' role in steering the game’s pace.

In the third period, Robertson's power-play goal was his second of the evening, encapsulating the team's spirit and the boost gained from observing their peers' successful plays.

The scoresheet for the Stars was also embellished by goals from Mason Marchment, Alexander Barabanov, William Eklund, Klim Kostin, Scott Wedgewood, and Mackenzi Blackwood, with DeBoer pointing out the team’s need for more physical engagement as a part of their downfall.

Johnston's initial score came from a short-handed breakaway, followed by a stellar goal from Marchment. In a precautionary move, Tyler Seguin did not participate in the game for Dallas.
