In Edmonton, Jason Robertson achieved his first playoff hat trick, guiding the Dallas Stars to a 5-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers. This victory gives Dallas a 2-1 lead in the NHL's Western Conference final.
Wyatt Johnston and Miro Heiskanen, who scored an empty-net goal, also added to Dallas's tally, while Jake Oettinger made 26 saves. Roope Hintz, Tyler Seguin, and Jamie Benn each contributed two assists.
Connor McDavid managed one goal and one assist, reaching 100 career playoff points. Zach Hyman and Adam Henrique scored for Edmonton, with Stuart Skinner making 17 saves.
Dallas, which had the best regular-season road record, now holds a 6-1 record away from home in the playoffs. Game 4 of the best-of-seven series is scheduled for Wednesday night.
The game saw the return of Henrique, who had missed seven of Edmonton's last eight games due to an ankle injury, and Hintz, who had been out for four games with an upper-body injury.
During the first period, Edmonton dominated with McDavid scoring just 2:02 into the game. The Oilers initially led 2-0, but Dallas responded in the second period with three goals in 3:33, the fastest trio in Dallas postseason history.
