David Pastrnak secured a thrilling win for the Boston Bruins against the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday night with a goal scored just 1:47 before the end of the game, resulting in a 3-2 victory.
The Bruins were behind 2-0 after the first two periods but made a strong comeback with three goals in the final period. Pastrnak's decisive goal slipped through Jordan Binnington's pads to seal the win.
The Bruins, who had previously lost all seven games when trailing after two periods, saw contributions from Morgan Geekie and Charlie McAvoy, alongside Pastrnak, to turn the game around.
For the Blues, who suffered their third consecutive defeat, Brayden Schenn and Oskar Sundqvist each scored power-play goals during the second period.
An important moment occurred early in the third period when Nathan Walker's attempt hit the post, missing the chance to extend the Blues' lead to 3-0. Shortly after, Geekie scored, and McAvoy netted the equalizer at 9:15, leveling the match.
Pastrnak, who was a standout player for the Bruins, took 10 shots on goal and also provided an assist for Geekie's goal.
The upcoming schedule sees the Bruins traveling to Dallas for their next game on Thursday night, while the Blues embark on a three-game road trip starting in Buffalo.
