David Pastrnak led the Boston Bruins to victory against the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday with an overtime goal, securing a 2-1 win.
His decisive goal was scored just over three minutes into the extra period, marking his third goal in Boston's opening three games of the season.
For the Bruins, Elias Lindholm also found the back of the net, while Jeremy Swayman impressed with 33 saves. In contrast, Darcy Kuemper blocked 23 shots for the Kings.
Trevor Moore gave Los Angeles an early lead in the second, but Lindholm equalized with under four minutes remaining in the same period.
Despite conceding the first goal in each of their first three encounters, the Bruins stand at two wins and one loss.
For the Kings, who began their season with a win against Buffalo, Anze Kopitar was unable to find the scoresheet.
Assists for Pastrnak's game-winning goal came from Mason Lohrei and Matthew Poitras.
Although Boston had previously allowed six goals in the opening periods of their last two games, both teams left the first period without a goal on Saturday.
Next up, the Kings will travel to Ottawa on Monday, while the Bruins will face the Florida Panthers at home that same evening.
