Detroit Red Wings Secure $4.55 Million Deal for Joe Veleno, Averting Salary Arbitration

Joe Veleno, a 24-year-old restricted free agent forward, has signed a two-year, $4.55 million contract with the Detroit Red Wings.
Last season, Veleno played on a one-year deal valued at $825,000 and accumulated 28 points in 80 games. Before this, he applied for salary arbitration on July 5th.
Since being drafted by the Red Wings in the 2018 NHL draft, Veleno has recorded a career total of 64 points in 232 games, with 30 goals and 34 assists.
