Devils Defeat Ducks 6-2: Noesen's Two Goals Spark Second-Period Scoring Surge

In Newark, New Jersey, Stefan Noesen played a key role in leading the Devils to a 6-2 win against the Ducks by scoring two goals during the second period. Jacob Markstrom also made a significant impact with his 24 saves.

Additional goals for the Devils came from Jack Hughes, Paul Cotter, Nico Hischier, and Erik Haula, with four of the goals occurring in the second period. Hughes managed to even the score early in the second after Brock McGinn of Anaheim scored in the first.

Noesen's initial goal put New Jersey in the lead at 2-1, and he later scored another goal during a power play. Cotter and Hischier found the net in the closing minutes of the second period.

This season, Hischier has become the team's leading scorer with nine goals, while Haula ensured the victory with a goal just under a minute before the game's end.

Ryan Strome scored a second goal for the Ducks in the third period, and James Reimer delivered 28 saves in the game.

This was the Devils' second win at Prudential Center this season, with two prior victories achieved in Prague.

The Ducks have faced a challenging stretch, losing three out of four games since initiating the season with a 2-1-1 record.

Noesen's first goal was crucial, providing New Jersey with a lead they maintained for the remainder of the game. Jonas Siegenthaler, Dougie Hamilton, and Dawson Mercer each contributed two assists, while Jesper Bratt continued his streak of games with assists, extending it to five.

Looking ahead, the Devils will play the Canucks during their upcoming trip to Western Canada, while the Ducks are slated to visit the Islanders.
