Connor McDavid found the net and four other Oilers players contributed, leading Edmonton to a resounding 8-1 victory over Florida in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final, averting a series sweep. McDavid scored his first goal of the series and added three assists, surpassing Wayne Gretzky's record for most assists in a single postseason with a total of 32. Stuart Skinner made 32 saves for Edmonton, while Sergei Bobrovsky was taken out of the game after conceding five goals on 16 shots. The Panthers' frustration was clear, evident in multiple post-whistle scrums, which led to a power play goal for the Oilers. Even though they are trailing 3-1 in the series, the Oilers displayed confidence in extending the series, with fans chanting "We want seven!" and singing "It's My Life." Edmonton made several strategic lineup changes, such as moving Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to play alongside Leon Draisaitl, which proved effective. The series now shifts to South Florida for Game 5 on Tuesday, where the Oilers aim to maintain their momentum and push for a Game 6 back in Edmonton. All logos are the trademark & property of their owners and not NHL-Schedules.com.
