Edmonton Oilers goalie Calvin Pickard has agreed to a two-year contract extension, with an average annual value of $1 million.
Last season, the 32-year-old posted a 12-7-1 record, maintained a 2.45 goals-against average, and achieved a .909 save percentage over 23 games, 20 of which he started.
During the playoffs, Pickard appeared in three games and secured a victory in the second round against Vancouver. Although the Oilers made it to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final, they were ultimately defeated by the Florida Panthers.
Over the course of his nine NHL seasons, Pickard has played for several teams including Colorado, Toronto, Philadelphia, Arizona, Detroit, and Edmonton, and has accumulated a 47-61-11 record.
