San Jose Sharks News & Updates

William Eklund was the standout performer for the San Jose Sharks, achieving a memorable hat-trick that included the decisive overtime goal. This stunning performance drove the Sharks to a significant win, while goalie Devin Cooley, hailing from Los Gatos, celebrated his first NHL victory by stopping 34 shots.

The highlight of Eklund’s performance was two goals on the power play during the second period. In celebration of his third goal, fans were treated to a unique straw hat giveaway, marking the occasion in a fun and engaging way.

The St. Louis Blues managed to erase a 2-0 deficit with contributions from Jordan Kyrou and Brayden Schenn, only to see their comeback efforts nullified by Eklund's extra-time goal.

Goalkeeper Joel Hofer of the Blues managed 22 saves but the team could not maintain their initial momentum, as observed by interim coach Drew Bannister.

This victory marked the Sharks' third win over the Blues in the season, further dampening St. Louis’ already slight chances at making the playoffs.

In team updates, Collin Graf made his debut for the Sharks. Recently signed as an NCAA free agent, Graf lined up on the second line, impressing with his skill and tactical knowledge.

Looking ahead, the next matchups see the Blues travelling to face the Anaheim Ducks, while the Sharks will play host to the Arizona Coyotes on Sunday.
