Winnipeg Jets News & Updates

Rick Bowness, Andrew Brunette, and Rick Tocchet have been named finalists for the Jack Adams Award.

Bowness successfully steered Winnipeg to the upper echelons of the NHL, securing a second-place finish in the Central Division and a fourth-place overall standing. Under his leadership, the Jets were lauded for their defensive prowess, ranking high in the league for fewest goals allowed, while their offense was reliably effective. Additionally, Bowness managed to maintain this balance while dealing with personal challenges.

In his inaugural stint as a full-time head coach, Brunette took Nashville to the playoffs. The Predators started off the season on a slower note but gained momentum to establish a well-rounded team performance in both offense and defense, securing their postseason participation.

Tocchet led Vancouver to an impressive turnaround, topping the Pacific Division and finishing sixth in the overall NHL rankings. The Canucks showed remarkable improvement from the previous season, making strides in their offensive and defensive game to clinch a spot in the playoffs.
