The National Hockey League has announced Sergei Bobrovsky, Thatcher Demko, and Connor Hellebuyck as the candidates for the Vezina Trophy, the award given to the best goaltender in the league.
Bobrovsky, who has won the Vezina Trophy twice before, was instrumental in leading the Florida Panthers to their second title in the Atlantic Division within three years, boasting notable achievements and figures.
Hellebuyck, who won the trophy in 2020, played a crucial role for the Winnipeg Jets, elevating them to one of the top teams in the regular season. He ranked second in terms of wins and save percentage, and came in fourth in goals against average (GAA).
Demko, aiming for his first Vezina Trophy, had his best season yet despite facing injuries. His exceptional performance was key in transforming the Vancouver Canucks from a team missing the playoffs to Pacific Division champions, achieving a commendable record and stats.
