Edmonton Oilers News & Updates

On Wednesday, the Florida Panthers' travel plans faced disruptions due to storms in Fort Lauderdale, causing their charter jet to take off three hours late. Consequently, the team is anticipated to reach Edmonton at 8 p.m., which is less than a day before their Game 3 match against the Oilers.

In spite of leading the series 2-0, the Panthers had to practice at home before addressing the challenge of the Mountain Time Zone in Edmonton.

The Oilers, who are coming off a loss in Game 2, had already practiced in Edmonton on Tuesday. The Panthers chose not to travel earlier to avoid possible fatigue.

Since March, the Panthers have been operating exclusively within the Eastern Time Zone, except for one game in Dallas. Their playoff games leading up to the finals took place in Tampa, Boston, and New York. Additionally, the final month of their regular season away games was also held in the east.
