Florida Panthers News & Updates

In their latest game, Matthew Tkachuk delivered two goals for his fourth straight game with multiple points, while Sergei Bobrovsky made 28 saves in his return to action, helping the Florida Panthers secure a 3-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks.

Aleksander Barkov also found the net for Florida, which has seen a boost, going 5-0-1 over the last six games. With this win, Bobrovsky achieved his 408th career win, placing him 11th in NHL history for victories.

Despite Mackenzie Blackwood's impressive 50 saves for the Sharks, Tyler Toffoli prevented Bobrovsky from getting a shutout by scoring with only 1:26 left on the clock.

San Jose faced challenges during their Florida trip, losing both games and struggling to score more than once in each matchup.

The Panthers set a seasonal high with 53 shots on goal.

A crucial moment in the game came when Bobrovsky stopped Luke Kunin's short-handed breakaway attempt with approximately eight minutes left, maintaining Florida's 3-0 lead.

Matthew Tkachuk, who had netted just five goals across October and November, has already matched that total in the first week of December.

Looking ahead, San Jose will continue their road journey in Carolina on Tuesday. Florida is also hitting the road for a five-game stretch, beginning in Seattle on Tuesday, culminating in a Stanley Cup Final rematch against Edmonton on December 16.
