New York Rangers News & Updates

Mika Zibanejad's pass during overtime facilitated Florida's game-winning goal, evening the series with the Rangers at two games apiece.

Zibanejad accidentally allowed Niko Mikkola to intercept his pass, who then connected with Aleksander Barkov. A subsequent penalty by Blake Wheeler prevented a scoring opportunity, resulting in a power play for Florida.

On the power play, Sam Reinhart took advantage and scored, securing the Panthers' 3-2 victory.

Zibanejad admitted regret for his choice, acknowledging that he should have made a different decision.

Although Zibanejad has been strong in earlier rounds, he has yet to earn a point in the conference final, raising concerns for the Rangers.

The Rangers had difficulties in the second period, giving up 108 shot attempts while managing only 43 of their own. Despite an early advantage, they were ultimately outshot 40-23.

Alexis Lafreniere managed to tie the game in the third period, but Florida's key players delivered in overtime.

Looking ahead to Game 5, the Rangers aim to regroup, with Chris Kreider stressing the importance of his line improving their play.
