Florida Panthers News & Updates

Edmonton's Leon Draisaitl caused an injury to Florida's Aleksander Barkov, forcing him to leave the game. Despite this setback, the Panthers managed to rally and secure a win.

In the third period, Evan Rodrigues scored twice, and both Niko Mikkola and Aaron Ekblad added goals. Sergei Bobrovsky made 18 saves for the Panthers, who are now just two wins away from their first championship.

Mattias Ekholm scored for Edmonton, but the Oilers now face a significant challenge, trailing 2-0 in the series. They have only overcome this type of deficit once before in a best-of-seven series.

Draisaitl received a penalty for his hit on Barkov, and Rodrigues capitalized with a power-play goal for Florida. Connor McDavid had a chance to narrow the gap for Edmonton but was stopped by Bobrovsky.

The game was emotionally charged, with Warren Foegele being ejected for a knee-on-knee hit and Darnell Nurse also getting injured. Rodrigues' third-period goal set the stage for Florida's comeback.

Bobrovsky's strong performance limited the Oilers to only two goals and kept their shots on goal to a season-low entering the third period. The Panthers are now two wins away from the Stanley Cup and are fully embracing the moment.
