On Saturday, Sean Couturier played a key role in leading the Philadelphia Flyers to a 7-5 win over the Minnesota Wild, breaking the Flyers' six-game losing streak and ending the Wild's seven-game points run.
Couturier achieved a hat trick, marking his 500th NHL point, with Rasmus Ristolainen assisting on the goal that secured the win. Additionally, Travis Konecny made significant contributions with a goal and three assists.
Although Marcus Foligno scored twice for Minnesota, the Flyers outpaced the Wild 4-1 in the third period, with Couturier's goal into an empty net finalizing the victory.
Matt Boldy was most active for the Wild, recording nine shots on goal, while the Flyers decided to send Jett Luchanko back to Guelph after four games.
Philadelphia showed a strong performance in the third period, registering 17 shots on goal and netting four goals to ensure their victory. They became only the second team this season to score more than two goals against Minnesota.
Next, the Wild continue their seven-game road trip by facing Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Flyers will host Montreal on Sunday, marking their third back-to-back matchup within their first nine games.
