Flyers Claim Overtime Win with Michkov's Game-Winner in 3-2 Thrill against Blackhawks

Matvei Michkov netted a power-play goal during overtime, securing a 3-2 win for the Philadelphia Flyers against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday.

In the third period, Sean Couturier and Noah Cates scored goals to close a 2-0 gap, leveling the game for the Flyers.

Aleksei Kolosov achieved his debut NHL victory with 19 saves, whereas Petr Mrazek recorded 34 saves for the Blackhawks.

The fourth line of the Blackhawks, which included Lukas Reichel, Craig Smith, and Patrick Maroon, was responsible for scoring both goals for Chicago.

The Flyers have demonstrated strong comeback performances throughout this season.

A holding penalty by Alex Vlasic led to the decisive power play that benefitted the Flyers.

Even though Scott Laughton did not score, he led the Flyers with the most shots on goal and hits.

Next, the Blackhawks will play against Dallas on Wednesday, and the Flyers will wrap up their five-game homestand by facing Vegas on Monday.
