Owen Tippett's goal in the final moments and decisive shootout performance led the Philadelphia Flyers to a 2-1 triumph over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
During the shootout, Tippett and Travis Konecny both found the net. Ivan Fedotov contributed by making 20 saves, including two crucial stops in the shootout, earning him his first NHL victory. Nikita Kucherov scored the only goal for the Lightning, who are now on a four-game losing streak.
Fedotov thwarted attempts by Gage Gonclaves and Victor Hedman in the shootout, helping secure the Flyers' fifth win in 14 games.
Andrei Vasilevskiy of the Lightning narrowly missed joining the ranks of goaltenders with 300 career wins, despite his 30 saves.
In important instances, the Flyers maintained their effort, with Tippett managing to score against Vasilevskiy in the third period.
The Flyers, despite their offensive struggles, managed to outshoot the Lightning with a tally of 31-24.
Looking ahead, the Flyers are set to play in Florida on Saturday, whereas the Lightning will face Winnipeg at home the following Thursday.
