Chicago Blackhawks News & Updates

Filip Forsberg achieved a new milestone for the Nashville Predators by scoring 46 goals in a season, including three in a 5-1 win against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Alongside Forsberg, Kiefer Sherwood and Jason Zucker contributed to the score for Nashville, leading to Chicago's third consecutive defeat. Contributions also came from Luke Evangelista with two assists and Kevin Lankinen, who stopped 25 shots.

For Chicago, Philipp Kurashev managed to score, and goalie Arvid Soderblom made 35 saves.

The record-breaking moment came when Forsberg netted a goal during a power play in the first period, surpassing the Predators' previous season record of 43 goals held by Matt Duchene from the 2021-22 season.

Adding to Nashville's advantage, Forsberg scored again in the second period before Zucker's power-play goal widened the gap to 4-0. Despite Kurashev's goal for Chicago during a two-man advantage, Forsberg sealed his hat trick with another power-play goal in the third period.

Looking ahead, the Predators are set to play Columbus at home on Saturday night, while the Blackhawks will face Carolina at home on Sunday night.
