The Chicago Blackhawks have signed a three-year agreement with their premier prospect, Frank Nazar.

This contract, revealed just two days following Michigan's defeat in the Frozen Four, is set to last until the end of the 2025-26 season and carries a salary-cap impact of $950,000.

With a current record of 23-51-5, Chicago is slated to play Carolina at their home venue this Sunday, and will round off their season with games against Vegas on Tuesday and Los Angeles on Thursday.

The Blackhawks are looking forward to Nazar, aged 20, contributing significantly to their team rebuilding process. Selected 13th overall in the 2022 NHL Draft, Nazar has scored 17 goals and made 24 assists in 41 games for Michigan during this term, including securing three victories with his game-winning goals.

Born in Detroit, Nazar has accumulated 19 goals and 29 assists across 54 games during his tenure with the Wolverines. His contributions were also pivotal in securing a victory for the United States at the 2024 world junior championship, where he notched up eight assists in seven matches.
