Edmonton Oilers News & Updates

The Edmonton Oilers have risen from the lower ranks of the Western Conference to reach the Stanley Cup Final, overcoming the Dallas Stars in Game 6.

Connor McDavid contributed significantly in the first period with a goal and an assist, while Stuart Skinner made 34 saves for the Oilers. Zach Hyman added a goal, and Evan Bouchard recorded two assists.

On the other side, Mason Marchment netted a goal for the Stars, and Jake Oettinger made eight saves. Despite their efforts, the Stars were unable to force another game in the series.

The Oilers' path to the final has been remarkable, especially considering they were 10 points away from a playoff spot back in November. They turned their season around with an eight-game winning streak, performing as the NHL's top team throughout the remainder of the regular season.

Following their victory, the Oilers, much like the Panthers, chose not to touch the conference championship trophy during their postgame celebration, keeping their focus on their ultimate goal: winning the Stanley Cup.
