Winnipeg Jets News & Updates

In Winnipeg, Gabriel Vilardi found the back of the net and Connor Hellebuyck achieved his third shutout of the season by making 35 saves, guiding the Winnipeg Jets to a 1-0 win over the Colorado Avalanche.

Vilardi's goal was scored just 1 minute and 6 seconds into the match, and Hellebuyck maintained a solid performance, with important saves during the second period preventing the Avalanche from scoring.

Even with Colorado taking 35 shots, the efforts of the Jets' defense along with Hellebuyck's stellar play ensured their fifth consecutive victory. Mark Scheifele provided assistance on Vilardi's decisive goal.

Throughout the third period, Colorado outshot Winnipeg 17 to 4, yet Hellebuyck's impressive goaltending continued to thwart the Avalanche's attempts to score.

Looking ahead, the Jets are set to host Dallas on Saturday, while the Avalanche will start a four-game homestand by facing Carolina.
