Following a two-month recovery, Vegas Golden Knights' captain, Mark Stone, made a notable comeback by scoring quickly after the game began, accompanied by Tomas Hertl, who was playing alongside Stone for the first time and scored during his initial playoff appearance.

Logan Thompson was the goalkeeper for Vegas in the match, saving 27 attempts in his first playoff game. Stone made a significant impact upon his return by netting a power-play goal shortly after the match started.
Marchessault commended Stone for his determination and leadership, underlining his critical role in the team.
