In a game held in St. Louis, Dylan Guenther netted the decisive goal with only three minutes remaining, securing a 4-2 win for Utah over the Blues.
Guenther's shot ricocheted off Colton Parayko's hip, surpassing Joel Hofer and breaking the 2-2 deadlock. Subsequently, Jack McBain sealed the game with an empty-net goal.
Michael Kesselring initiated Utah's scoring just 18 seconds from the start. St. Louis saw goals from both Jordan Kyrou and Parayko.
Utah restricted the Blues to a mere 15 shots on target, including only two during the second period. Karel Vejmelka recorded 13 saves for Utah, while Hofer made 27 stops for St. Louis.
The Blues failed to score on three power plays, which included a 26-second two-man advantage in the opening period.
This season, Parayko has scored four goals in 14 games, and Kyrou's error contributed to Guenther's decisive goal.
Next, the Blues will welcome Washington on Saturday, whereas Utah will complete their four-game road trip with a stop in Nashville.
