Bo Horvat secured a 4-3 win for the New York Islanders against the New Jersey Devils by scoring in overtime.
Contributions for the Islanders came from Brock Nelson, Anders Lee, and Kyle Palmieri, and Ilya Sorokin made 32 saves in goal.
For the Devils, Nico Hischier, Curtis Lazar, and Jesper Bratt found the back of the net, although their team extended their losing streak to four games after starting the season strong.
The Islanders have managed to score three or more goals in four of their seven matches. Meanwhile, the Devils have faced difficulties at home, with four losses in five games. Sorokin's key save against Hischier in overtime was instrumental for the Islanders’ win.
With this victory, Sorokin has recorded two wins in four starts this season. The Devils will look to recover as they prepare to host Anaheim on Sunday, while the Islanders are set to play against Florida on Saturday evening.
